Step back into history at Black Powder Tavern as we celebrate America’s Semiquincentennial with a special historical dinner buffet featuring renowned Benjamin Franklin reenactor Mike Kochan on Wednesday, July 1st at 5:30 p.m.

For the past 16 years, Kochan has brought the “Good Doctor” Benjamin Franklin to life for audiences across the country. During this unique evening, guests will have the opportunity to meet and interact with Franklin while enjoying an engaging presentation exploring some of the Founding Father’s most fascinating pursuits.

We’ve created a menu Franklin would have found exceptionally pleasing, featuring dishes and ingredients he personally enjoyed. The cost of the event is $46.

Learn about Franklin’s groundbreaking electrical experiments, his connection to inventor David Bushnell and the development of the world’s first military submarine, his time in France and his relationships with influential Natural Philosophers including Isaac Newton, Francis Hauksbee and Joseph Priestley.

Kochan will also share stories from his appearance on the History Channel, where he participated in a program examining Franklin’s famous electric kite experiment.

Join us for an unforgettable evening of history, innovation and great food as one of America’s most beloved Founding Fathers comes to life at Black Powder Tavern. For reservations, please call (610) 293-9333 and mention the “Ben Franklin Buffet Dinner.”
